Online Publications

There are so many ways today to publish an online story that you are writing. Whether it be posting on your social media platforms, posting a news article or using online publication, there are endless ways to tell one’s story. Having a space where one can write whatever they want is an amazing thing everyone is offered. Being able to write about mainly and yes “mainly” anything you want about whatever topic and just post it right online allows people to share their stories. Having a platform where you can turn to, to learn something new or read up on something where people have the same thoughts as you can be very important and educational. Whether you are writing about technology, your family, your pets and so on, there is a place for anyone to speak about the topic they so choose.

So what’s so amazing about online publications? Minus the fact that you have the ability to get paid for writing any article piece, there are so many different publications out there. What’s so nice about these online publications is that they are formatted and written with intent to fit a specific audience. This allows for people to have a place to share on a specific topic on a platform where people who are interested in that topic can go and read up on stories of their choosings. In class this week we were able to read specific publications that were about men’s mental health, disability acts, and women in higher education. In all these publications they are directed and have stories about specific topics. Although there are many publications that are broken down with many different topics, whatever topic you want to read up on you are almost always able to find some story about it.​​ Having publications about specific topics where people read stories and become educated on topics is something that can be very useful.
