What these past weeks have been! The main news — I am excited to announce that it is Leonardo’s big comeback to our community! After a few critical weeks, he is slowly getting onboarded on the ElasticDAO’s work plan.

Moreover, the Dev Team is working relentlessly to launch v2, ElastiCast is around the corner, a NFT project is being cooked, and much more!

Governance Updates

Since last week, we have changed the monthly community calls to weekly updates from the team. After posting a tweet poll asking the community how they would like to get informed, the monthly community calls will happen weekly.

Every Wednesday at 6 PM UTC, we sum up the previous weeks’ work and the goals for the upcoming days regarding operations, marketing, and development. The meetups will be recorded and published on our Youtube channel. The ones who are interested in more information will be directed to the insightful team calls on our Discord.

Also, since information is essential at this stage, we will include a development update section in the weekly RoundUps. Evandro, our dearest frontend dev, will break down the development updates explaining how these steps are connected to ElasticDAOs’ primary goals of ElasticDAO.

#2 Community Call

In this month’s community call, two updates sparked our attention, an overall description of the work done on the ElasticSwap simulator and the V2 demo.

The last few weeks were intense for Phil, LSDan, and SSDD working around math for the ElasticSwap, an Automated Market Maker specialized in rebasing tokens. On the call, Phil describes how the simulator works, elucidating all the derivatives and their connection. He shared a few examples, valuable for our understanding.

Moreover, LSDan talked about ElasticDAO’s new dashboard, guiding us through the different sections and analyzing the structure based on Byzg’s design and Evandro’s implementation. Watch the full community call on our official YouTube channel.

ElastiCast First Episode is here!

The first ElastiCast episode, a podcast powered by ElasticDAO, went live on Wednesday, 28 of July!

ElastiCast is a podcast aimed to meet different members and their viewpoints on governance. Every month we will interview a new member from the ElasticDAO community or similar. We will dive into different understandings and see how ElasticDAO can help on making decentralized governance a better and fairer place.

As the first guest, Phil talks about his journey in crypto, working in Amazon, and his viewpoints on the future of work and governance.

An NFT created by MaX & ElasticDAO

I am super excited to announce our first official collaboration with MaX! Several days ago, MaX created “The King,” A beautiful jellyfish showing the road to fair governance.

He approached me to create a story for the piece, and so I did. The piece shows Fos, the master gatekeeper of the ElasticDAO universe, and shares the essential elements of the ElasticDAO community and world.

After MaX’s proposal, the piece will be posted where 25% of the revenue will go to the ElasticDAO treasury to be distributed to the community.

An underwater jellyfish universe

Our contributor, Nami, brought a fantastic project to our attention, the PILLS project. PILLS currently connects creators, and they create PILLS NFTs that are later sold on their platform.

The next step for the PILLS community is to create a series of comics narrating the crypto story in a Si-Fi world. They have already started working with a number of successful projects to include in the story, such as Olympus DAO.
After a chat with KD, the main director, ElasticDAO, is expected to be a part of the project, representing an underwater jellyfish universe. Stay tuned to learn more!

Community initiative & mentions

As Nico participated in EthCC in Paris, he decided to print a bunch of stickers to distribute to participants and use them during the event. Together with Byzg, they created some pretty cool stickers.
