The Reason To Choose iPhone 6 Plus Over iPhone 6

Many people are asking me these days what version of new iPhone they should choose: iPhone 6 or iPhone 6 Plus. For most people, the difference in size will be the most decisive factor when choosing between two, but in my opinion, there is something even more decisive than that, and it is a battery life.

iPhone battery life was always ‘average’

It might be hard to admit for some Apple fans, but many will agree that iPhone’s battery life was always average. Most of the times, the same goes for Android devices as well, but the fact that almost all Android smartphones have removable batteries was always a big advantage for Android over iPhone. I am sure many of you saw the ad Samsung has created to make fun of iPhone users for always carrying around the charger for their iPhones.

The first ever iPhone to guarantee you a full day of usage

This year Apple has introduced two new iPhones. Both iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus have improved in battery life compare to previous generations, but iPhone 6 Plus has really surprised me here. After using it for a month, I can officially declare that iPhone 6 Plus is the first ever smartphone from Apple that can guarantee that your iPhone will make it until the end of the day on one charge of battery.

I consider myself a heavy iPhone user and even I couldn’t drain the battery of 6 Plus in one day. With a regular usage, I can easily see it making through two days — something almost unimaginable for users of previous iPhones.

Take a look at these real life battery usage screenshots from my iPhone 6 Plus to get an idea of how good the battery life on iPhone 6 Plus is.

Over 17 hours of standby time, over 6 hours of intense usage, and still over 51% of battery left.

Even more important than screen size

For me, the battery life is the most decisive difference between iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus. Optical image stabilization and 5.5-inch full HD display are nice, but the real reason why I choose the iPhone 6 Plus over iPhone 6 is its fantastic battery life.
