Electra added to General Bytes ATMs
August 1, 2018, revealed another new and exciting ECA implementation. While most of us anxiously await the Electra blockchain hard fork, another announcement has been made regarding the mass adoption of Electra. General Bytes has added the Electra codebase to its current network of cryptocurrency ATMs.
General Bytes
General Bytes is a project based on cryptocurrency and blockchain technology and their financial application. Their line of products includes several state-of-the-art ATM and Point of Sale terminal machines, based on the Android operating system, which are able to support the codebases of cryptocurrencies prepared for mass adoption.

Electra Project Progress
The past few weeks have been turbulent times for Electra and the community. While several members of the Electra team have left, we must remember that Electra is a community-based project and members are free to come and go as they please. Life can often present unexpected challenges and individuals associated with Electra may need to step away to address any conflicts that may arise.
On the lighter side, Electra has submitted the formal paperwork for the Electra Foundation which will enable the project to utilize pre-mine funding for further development. Another promising portion of good news — one of the original ElectraPay developers, scibot, has returned to the fold, taking the reigns of lead developer.
General Bytes is the third ATM collaboration which will set Electra on a straight path towards mass adoption. Progress may be a slow process, but anything worth having is worth waiting for, and Electra is only in its earliest stages.
