Get to know Christina, who recently joined the EVE team as Business Development Intern.

Christina, who has experience engaging directly with clients, is focused on fostering EVE’s customer relations. During her economics studies at University College Dublin, she developed a deep interest in macroeconomic dynamics and how they affect today’s markets. Christina is passionate about the impact sustainability will have on specific industries as it is becoming a hot topic of conversation for many businesses.

5 Questions with Christina

Q1: Tell us, why did you decide to join the EVE team?

A: I’ve always been passionate about developing innovative solutions to tackle climate change. I knew that working for a company that advances more environmentally friendly practices would be enjoyable and allow me to make an impact, and EVE provided the perfect landscape for this.

Q2: What is your prediction for the future of (e-)mobility?

A: I think an electric future is inevitable. Gas stations and gas-powered vehicles will soon be a distant memory, I suspect.

Q3: You’ve been with EVE for over 1.5 months now. What was your favorite experience so far?

A: I have had countless enjoyable experiences while working at EVE so far. My favourite has to be meeting new people and learning more about their backgrounds and professional journey. I’m fortunate to get the chance to interact with a mix of innovative and talented people and understand their ideas and perspectives.

Q4: Tell us the best sustainability tip that you have adopted in your private life.

A: When searching to expand my wardrobe, I always find that online second-hand marketplaces — like Depop and Vinted — have great options. Many of the items of clothing that are for sale have very little to no wear. This is especially true for occasional attire, most people have worn it only once. This is a great alternative to buying brand-new items: Not only is it significantly cheaper, but it also saves many clothes from going to landfills. I make more calculated decisions when buying second-hand since I am prone to impulse buying in fast fashion settings.

Q5: If you could invite three people (alive, dead, or fictional) to a dinner party, who would you invite and why?

A: David Attenborough is someone I would most likely invite since he would share some fascinating experiences with us about the events in his life. He has a natural talent for telling stories, so I’d be interested to learn more about his travels and adventures. I also want to know more about his opinions on the state of the environment right now, as well as his thoughts on the issues of sustainability and climate change.

Elon Musk would be invited, too. I’d like to know more about his perspectives on the future of e-mobility since he is the owner of the company that pioneered the vision for EVs.

I’ll finish by inviting Airbnb’s creator, Brian Chesky. Given that Airbnb is now a well-known brand, I’d love to know more about how he managed to get to this point, the challenges he faced, and what it took to go this far, given that he started from square one.
