Electron ZK-IBC to enable Archway to rent security from Ethereum
We are thrilled to unveil an exciting collaboration between Electron and Archway to implement ZK-IBC into Archway, allowing the Archway network to receive Ethereum’s security through restaking using ZK-IBC architecture.

Unlocking the potential of staked Ether
At the heart of ZK-IBC lies the ambition to build an infrastructure that can enable cosmos chains to securely rent the value of Ether. Ether holders will be able to re-stake their staked ETH (stETH, rETH, cbETH) either directly or via Eigenlayer. This will allow the restaked ETH to actively participate in the Cosmos consensus by delegating to its validators, creating a new revenue stream for them.
ZK-IBC will be built upon the foundation of ZK-proofs of light clients, that we’ve already implemented in Electron’s zkBridge. Our recent partnerships with Router and Hyperlane protocols also involve integrating our zk-proof technology into their security modules. The applications of ZK Light clients are many such as state proofs, cross chain governance, cross-chain staking etc. We’re only beginning to scratch the surface and seeing the immense response from the Cosmos ecosystem interested in enabling cross chain staking.
