We’re pleased to announce that Mark Shervey has joined Elektra Labs.

We first met Mark through his work with the HD2I team at Mount Sinai and their work using connected technology to power N of 1 clinical research. We are honored to bring on his expertise to grow Elektra.

Prior to joining Elektra Labs, Mark was the Chief Architect for the Institute for Next Generation Healthcare at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai (INGH), where he managed patient datasets, data integrations and led technology strategy at the institute. During his time at Mount Sinai, he represented INGH as their lead engineer for Lab100, a breakthrough project that is part clinic, part research lab, and uses precision diagnostics to empower patients and help scientists advance our understanding of human health. Prior to Mount Sinai, Mark worked in software and data engineering in industries ranging from banking to media.

Mark is responsible for leading our engineering and product efforts to bring to market the Elektra Labs Atlas platform, which supports pharma, biotech and contract research organizations (CROs) deploying connected technologies to measure digital biomarkers in remote research (e.g., decentralized clinical trials) and clinical care. We developed Atlas after interviewing over 300 stakeholders in the software-enabled clinical trials ecosystem.

Please join me in welcoming Mark Shervey to the team.

Elektra Labs is a healthcare-security company building the infrastructure to evaluate and deploy connected technologies (e.g., wearables, biosensors). By 2023, an estimated 5 million individuals will be remotely monitored by healthcare providers. In the digital era of medicine, Elektra Labs is committed to advancing the safe, effective, and personalized adoption of connected technologies in real-world settings.

If you’re an engineer, security researcher, or research collaborator with a passion for digital medicine send us a note! (hello@elektralabs.com). We’re looking to grow the team, and we need your help in building the infrastructure for safe, effective and ethical tools in the digital era of medicine.
