Exciting news from the board! In May of this year we introduced for our colleagues in both our Almere and Barcelona offices the brand-new Elements Employee Participation Program. This Program offers employees the opportunity to participate in the “ownership” of the company by purchasing a piece of Elements.

The main reason of giving employees the chance in becoming partial owners of Elements is to turn their personal contribution to the success of the company into a personal benefit of that success. Other important reasons are to retain and motivate employees and to stimulate entrepreneurship by co-ownership.

In technical terms, we established a Stichting Administratiekantoor (STAK), a trust office, that manages and administers the 10% shares of the company we made available to the Employee Participation Program. With help of our accountant and notary office we worked our way through endless paperwork to setup all legal and fiscal aspects with both the Dutch and Spanish law in mind.

From now on our employees are yearly able to purchase certificates of shares and will profit, pro rata, from yearly profit distribution in the form of dividend.

As of now, more than two-thirds of our wonderful colleagues across both offices have joined the Employee Participation Program and obtained certificates of shares of Elements. This is a tremendous outcome so far and displays the incredible involvement and trust of the people of Elements.

We as a management are extremely happy with this level of involvement and are — like all participants — confident in the future of Elements. Thanks for all the trust and let’s rock ‘n roll!!!
