The debate finished some years ago, about the power of social media.

Now we have the new debate. How to get the benefits for my business by using social media.

The main issue on the mind of the companies, we worked with when developing the platform, was return on investment, the famous ROI. The questions are always the same when making the calculation (so you are not alone):

  1. Could the time spent going social, be better used focusing on my core business (is this time better spent focusing on the real work)?
  2. How much time should I invest in doing Social Media
  3. Should I hire an agency? If so how much should I pay?
  4. Should I hire a dedicated person or do it myself
  5. What does success mean?
  6. How do I measure success?
  7. How do I keep my online brand consistent to my offline brand?
  8. How do I know if I am doing a good job (or the person working on this is doing a good job).

The answer is that social media marketing works for everyone, so long as you keep you content to a good quality and post regularly. There is a war going on for the customer and this is your tool to get to them.

Each business needs to weigh up its own answers based on how wealth you are feeling. The reality is social media works for your business. The Social Media Giants (Facebook et al), know this. They are all geared up to get you to pay them.

But the facts are they work.

Think about that. Think about how they have made it so easy for you to talk to your potential customers. The barriers are removed!

You hear the stories of the guy who made millions on social media, but he has hundreds of thousands of users and a big budget. Does that mean it won’t work for you?
