Would a Creative Person Join In on Automation of Creative Content?
It’s not easy to openly declare yourself as a writer or an artist. Creativity isn’t a degree or your published work, it’s finding your audience, your people. It’s mostly seeing numbers that validate your work’s final reflection as vox populi.
Writing content that can connect to an audience is not just a goal, it’s a process of self-actualization. So pious is one’s desire to create compelling content and finding acceptance, it leaves writers pondering “attention” grabbing headline ideas on long walks and dates.
I have worked as a social media marketer and copywriter for hundreds of big and small brands. I love creating marketing campaigns, press releases, hard-hitting taglines, memorable one-liners for posts and browsing an endless list of hashtags to connect it all to consumers.
So, when I walked into an interview at a start-up in Bahrain, I did not realize that I was going to sell out.
In an office, situated on an archipelago of 33 islands, I was told that automation and AI are ominously knocking on the doors of digital content marketing.
I was unsure, a bit offended and massively confused.

Here’s what I found summarized in a beautiful infographic by inmind.com
Isn’t it weird, we don’t see a new ad for a new product every day, every time we refresh our feed? Why aren’t these start-ups heavily pushing their work on beloved, neutral social media?
Why is an organically produced coffee scrub in the kitchen of a botanist not on my feed but discounts on heavily “chemicalized” products from world renowned brands the first thing I see?
Why did all those smaller but immensely promising brands in my previous agencies, pull-out and not wait to reap the massive benefits of social media?
Because There’s a war going on for your mind and the brand with the moolah always wins.
Social Media and Digital Marketing are not neutral. Creativity to sell a better product to an entertainment-hungry population is not cheap. With these constraints, an unfair eco-system of advertising oligopolies has been thriving for years.
I called Elephant Media Network and asked what exactly is the point of this app? The answer was ridiculously simple.
To create a revolution. The agency Killer.
Elephant Social shortens the road to the goal. It helps a creator reach its audience, it’s product to become part of the vox populi without violently biting off an absurd amount of humble savings.
Elephant Social analyzes a user’s industry, product and brand standards. It lets an inexperienced person describe their product and suggests… wait for it…
