Did you know that Research has shown that just by setting goals, people tend to improve their performance?

This amazing discovery was made by Edwin Locke, a psychologist and Professor of Business Administration at The University of Maryland in his now famous paper titled ‘Toward a theory of task motivation and incentives’.

While Mr. Locke’s theory was applied in the workplace only, at Elephants we believe that by applying Locke’s theory to other parts of our life, we can improve those also.

In order to help you select goals of your own, we’ve pulled together some examples in each category of goal that exists on the Elephants platform. Next to the goal, you’ll see what type of goal it is, and how to enter it into the tool.

Before we get started please note for the purpose of the example we have assumed there are ninety two days, and twelve weeks in this quarter.

Health
