Elevance Health Foundation Announces Inaugural Impact Investment in California, Advancing Mental Health for Students
Last year, we announced a $10 million commitment to launch a new impact investing program to create positive social impact through investment opportunities beyond its existing grant portfolio. In its first investment, Anthem Blue Cross Foundation, a philanthropic arm of Elevance Health Foundation, has announced a $300,000 loan to Psyched Services, a leading mental health organization based in Burlingame, California.
Facilitated by impact asset manager Mission Driven Finance, this funding will support Psyched Services as the organization works to provide vital mental health services to 380 schools in California, directly benefiting more than 3,200 children and families across the Golden State.
Psyched Services offers personalized mental health services for children, caregivers, and educators in California and virtually in 32 states. The organization offers a comprehensive range of therapeutic solutions including individual counseling, group therapy, and specialized programs for adolescents and adults.
“We are deeply thankful to the Anthem Blue Cross Foundation for their investment,” said Kristyn Corley, Founder and CEO of Psyched Services. “This funding is crucial in advancing and expanding our mental health initiatives, which will enable us to provide critical support to underserved students, caregivers, and educators throughout California.”
Through impact investing, the Foundation is able to collaborate with small businesses and social enterprises such as Psyched Services to support our communities and enhance the health and well-being of all individuals. The impact investment loan program highlights the importance of investing in our communities to advance whole health and contribute to economic development.
