The Real Way to Find Your Purpose

“The jailer woke up, and when he saw the prison doors open, he drew his sword and was about to kill himself because he thought the prisoners had escaped. But Paul shouted, ‘Don’t harm yourself! We are all here!’” (Acts 16:27–28)

When Paul was miraculously freed from prison, his response defied logic. Instead of running from the jailor, he started witnessing to him. I love Jesus and the gospel, but if I’m being honest, that would be a challenge.

Paul knew something, though. He realized that there’s purpose in every moment — even the difficult ones.

The fact is, God’s already placed purpose inside of you. Your job is to live out that purpose regardless of your circumstances.

When you do this, things start to change.

You’ll start meeting with God in the traffic you used to curse.

You’ll start giving your best to the job you used to hate.

You’ll start loving the people you used to avoid.

That’s what living out your purpose looks like. It’s the ability to find purpose in whatever you find yourself doing.
