Eligma becomes a founding member of the Emerging Payments Association EU
We are very proud to announce that Eligma has become a founding member of the Emerging Payments Association EU (EPA — EU), a non-profit association uniting payments industry influencers. Based in Luxembourg, the EPA — EU builds on the network of the Emerging Payments Association (EPA) — its sister organization based in London and bringing together 150 members. They cover all the aspects of the payments value chain — banks, issuers, PSPs, merchant acquirers, retailers, and of course payments schemes, now joined by Eligma’s GoCrypto through the EPA — EU.
The EPA — EU aims to promote and defend the interests of its members, and to study issues arising in the payments industry in the EU. It actively furthers these aims by organizing events and training, publishing research and managing projects.
Thibault de Barsy, Vice-Chairman and General Manager of the EPA — EU, summed up the joining of Eligma with the following statement:
“The EPA — EU is very happy to welcome a player from Central Europe that comes up with a set of solutions facilitating the acceptance of digital currencies for merchants. It demonstrates our capacity to federate innovators in payment from all the corners of Europe. We are also proud they join our network as from an early stage of their development, proving our added-value for scale-ups desiring to leverage our continental network.”
Dejan Roljic, CEO of Eligma, stated the following:

Through our membership, we aim to enhance the blockchain and crypto dimension of the payments industry at the EU level. Working together at supra-national and ultimately global levels is the prerequisite for success of the industries of today. It allows for solutions developed by individual market players like Eligma to resonate at a large scale, raising the standard of the industry as a whole and bringing new ideas and good practices to the foreground.
