Royal Rumble 2021 Predictions
’Tis the season to fly over the top rope. After an exhausting 2020, we have reached 2021 and are just days away from one of the most exciting times for professional wrestling fans. The Royal Rumble Pay Per View will be highlighted by what should be a blowoff between Kevin Owens and Roman Reigns for the Universal Championship under Last Man Standing Rules and yet another World Title return match for Goldberg, only this time against WWE Champion Drew McIntyre. We’ll also see a Women’s Tag Title rematch between current champions Charlotte Flair and Asuka versus Shayna Baszler and Nia Jax. Of course, none of these matches are more important than the Men’s and Women’s Royal Rumble matches. Although a special performance by the global sensation Bad Bunny may steal the show, the night is shaping up to be an overall slobber knocker.
While in past years it may have felt a bit too obvious who would end up winning a ticket to the main event of Wrestlemania, this go-around feels a lot more unpredictable — which is the best case for the WWE and worst case for the fantasy-booking-happy internet wrestling fans. They are going to be upset regardless, but of course, they will be that much more tuned in to see what unfolds.
