This year has been crazy, I know. But I want to challenge you to stay focused. Now more than ever, we have an amazing opportunity. See, most people are panicking. They’re in shock that the world is changing and things are happening that they can’t control. That doesn’t have to be you.

I’m not saying ignore the world and act fake positive. I’m saying that if you want to come out of this situation on top, now is the time to really get focused on what you want.

Now if you don’t care about building your personal brand, you can exit this post now. No hard feelings.

Okay.

If you’re still here, you actually give a dam about building your personal brand in these hard times. I respect you for that. Let’s get started.

Brand Domination

AJ Adams was easily one of my favorite interviews. He talked a lot about positioning and what it takes to really grow in a particular market. Gaining relevancy can be difficult but it gets easier when you have a plan.

The value of your personal brand comes from the value that you provide. Plain and simple. And I know the whole value conversation is redundant but thats only because its true. You need to provide solutions to the market. AJ Adams also talked about how you can make others aware of the solutions you provide. Definitely check out the episode!

Build Your Audience

One very important aspect of creating a great personal brand is building an audience. Your audience will come as long as you’re creating content that solves problems. In season 2 episode 6 of the podcast I broke down three ways you can build your audience.

My best piece of advice for building an audience is to get specific. Don’t be afraid to get dialed in on who you can provide value to and the problems you solve. It’s much better to have solutions for three people than fifteen. Those three people will be willing to pay a lot more than the fifteen.

Henry “The Brand Doctor” Kaminsky

This guy joined me on the podcast to discuss his best strategies for selling. I loved his episode because he explained the value based selling process that he uses to sell to his clients. It’s beautiful!

Value based pricing is set up based on the perceived value of the product or service, not traditional prices.

Value based pricing helps you avoid all of the awkward conversations about money. Your prospects will state what they believe the product or service is worth and you can go from there. People react A LOT differently when you allow them to state what they believe the price is and it just so happens to be significantly lower than they expected.

As you build your personal brand, product sales will come with that. A key to your success is creating the right products that solve problems but also are easy to sell. This means they provide extreme value to your audience. And using the value based model, you’ll close a lot more deals.
