Dragon Crypto Gaming integrates Elk into revolutionary blockchain RPG
Elk Finance ($ELK), a cross-chain value transfer protocol, has partnered with Dragon Crypto Gaming (DCG), a groundbreaking blockchain gaming platform. DCG is preparing to launch The Legend of Aurum Draconis, a unique play-to-earn role playing game on the Avalanche blockchain. The game will launch on Aurum, DCG’s cross-chain DeFi platform.
As part of the partnership, a custom “Elksworn Armor Set” will be introduced into The Legend of Aurum Draconis on launch day — and an Elksworn Bifrost Helm. Players will be able to obtain Elksworn Armor pieces at various locations in the game or purchase it directly with $DCAU, Aurum’s native currency.
Prior to the launch, a special dual-token DCAU-ELK farm is available on ElkDEX, where players can earn $DCAU, the Aurum Draconis in-game currency, in addition to ELK rewards. The farm is currently live.
Aurum Draconis: NFTs and Gameplay
On launch, the game will have three unique and vibrant areas to explore:
- The Plains: a large hostile area ridden with enemies of the kingdom.
- The Inn: a place to listen to music, rest, play minigames of chance, and potentially house heroes for hire.
- The Marketplace: a trading hub where items are repaired and exchanged for resources, equipment, and characters.
In-game equipment is made up of non-fungible tokens (NFTs) of various rarities, featuring thousands of unique combinations. Items will be categorized into eight increasingly valuable tiers: shoddy, common, uncommon, rare, epic, legendary, artifact, and mythic.
Players can obtain Elksworn Armor in The Plains, inside Aurum promotional chests, and from The Marketplace. Elksworn Armor will exist in all rarity tiers (ranging from shoddy to mythic). Each piece will carry unique stats. Elksworn Armor pieces in the artifact and mythic rarities will also be eligible for bonuses that boost strength and endurance, which occur as more pieces of the set are collected.
Of course, every set of armor needs a hero to wear it! Players will be required to own an Avatar to play in The Legend of Aurum Draconis. Avatar NFTs will be released inside the Aurum Marketplace in batches. They can be purchased using the $DCAU token on Avalanche. Players can increase the value of their avatar by gaining experience points (XP). By leveling up, stat points are upgraded, increasing the avatar’s odds of winning a battle!
