Elk Launches on Cronos Chain
Elk Finance (ELK) has integrated Cronos (CRO), an EVM-compatible chain running in parallel to the Crypto.org Chain, to its expanding ecosystem of supported networks. From today, Elk users can trade, farm and stake tokens on Cronos via the Elk dApp (https://app.elk.finance/) and use the ElkNet bridge to transfer tokens instantly between Cronos and thirteen other networks supported by ElkNet.
Cronos, which launched its beta mainnet earlier today, aims to scale the DeFi ecosystem by providing developers with the ability to instantly port dApps from Ethereum and EVM-compatible chains, supported by funding from Particle B’s $100m EVM fund. Cronos will pull from Crypto.com’s 10M+ to offer an EVM-compatible DeFi experience.
Cronos is built on top of the Cosmos blockchain and powered by Ethermint — a proof-of-authority consensus mechanism. The addition of Cronos to the Elk ecosystem will give Crypto.com users access to the broader DeFi landscape.
To start using Elk on Cronos, launch the Elk app with a MetaMask wallet connected to the Cronos network (visit Chainlist.org to add Cronos mainnet automatically). CRO tokens are available on multiple centralized exchanges.
