We’ve all had those days.
I woke up at noon with a blinding headache. The smell of someone else on our bedsheets and a feeling of dread rising up inside that we just made the mistake of our lives, right?
Well, many Americans just blew right past that thought and are actually doing great with the election of Trump.
And even if logic and reason were marched up to a wall, blindfolded, and shot at dawn, we don’t seem too worried about it.
It’s interesting times in America right now.
People walked or drove to the polls in large numbers. Got a babysitter for the kids or dropped them off at grandma's. I made it to the polling station on time and filled in that circle for Trump and thought—he's going to make a difference.
And that panic we may have felt, waking up so late. Thinking maybe we got it wrong. That lady we remember in the short skirt and ruby red lipstick—maybe she went with the other guy—but inside we know she didn't.
Well, that feeling is starting to set in over here.
