Ever want to be two places at once? Try being in four places at once. Four Corners Monument is the only place in the United States where you can be in the states of Arizona, New Mexico, Utah and Colorado.

Located within the Colorado Plateau, the site is near many parks and preserves known for its natural beauty, including Monument Valley and Canyon de Chelly National Monument. It’s open all year round, but don’t forget to get your picture taken while lying down in four places at once before you leave!

Northern Arizona is the setting for some of the country’s most breathtaking road trips. Here, you will be travelling on private Navajo Nation lands whilst heading towards Four Corners Monument. When visiting Four Corners Monument and other Navajo Tribal Parks in the area, such as Monument Valley and Chelly National Monument, it is important to respect their tribal regulations. Kayenta, Chinle, and Ganado, among the Four Corners gateway communities, offer a chance to get off the beaten track and take in the amazing Northern Arizona experience.

The Four Corners is part of the high Colorado Plateau. As a result, it serves as a focal point for weather systems that settle on the plateau before moving eastward through Colorado and into the central states, which includes snow and rain!

Although the shopping in the Four Corners is not particularly vibrant, it is appealing. You will find some really interesting, authentic Navajo handicraft to buy as souvenirs in a few of the shops. Some of these items may be expensive and some may be fakes from Mexico or other overseas companies. Native Americans artisans are inside with handmade jewelry, crafts and traditional Navajo foods.

Camping is the way to stay if you want to visit the monument, or there are some B&B’s nearby in the nearby towns such as Kayenta, Tuba City, Winslow and Flagstaff. There is a small visitor centre, which is open all year round and the park entrance fees per vehicle is $20 or $10 individually.

People who visit the monument are either delighted after running from state to state to and taking photos. As a result, it is highly recommended attraction that you can include other destinations to your itinerary, such as Mesa Verde National Park, the Grand Canyon, and Monument Valley. This Four Corners Monument in Arizona sits on Navajo land, the drive to the monument may seem out of the way but it’s definitely worth the visit!
