Back in Barrovia
Getting back to Barrow isn’t as easy as it used to be.
In fact, on a train, it takes less time now to get to London than it does to get to Barrow-in-Furness. What’s that all about?
Shocking stuff.
Anyway, I’m back in Barrow for the weekend with Jen. We have a charity event for my cousin Jake who passed away a number of years ago. Should be a good one, and an opportunity to raise plenty of money for a great charity – Children’s Cancer and Leukaemia Group.
That’s tomorrow night, though. Today/tonight was the long-winded process of getting to Barrow followed by a chilled out evening with the family.
Food
The highlight of any day.
Dinner was at the (4 star) Duke of Edinburgh.
I had steak with chunky chips and a side salad.
It was good. But it didn’t blow me away.
Overall, a solid 7.5/10 dinner.
Football
England vs Scotland.
We thumped them 3–0. Easy win.
Finally got to watch a match with my Dad for the first time in (pretty much, give or take) forever, so that’s always enjoyable.
Overall, a solid 8.5/10 match.
