Chapter 38 — Touristy stuff.
Pedalos are much better than bikes.
Today was the day for all that touristy stuff you do when visiting a city you’ve never been to before. I hate looking like a tourist, but being a tourist is pretty fun.
Although, the fact I’ve committed to making a film about this trip means I’m walking around recording a lot of stuff, making me look like a video-obsessed tourist.
I guess that’s what I kind of am though.
Anyway, pedalos were on today’s agenda. And after the stress that surrounded biking through Amsterdam yesterday, I was pretty happy to learn that today would feature less chance of me getting run over by a car, crashing in to anyone else or pissing off the fine people of Holland.
And finally, finally I would have chance to get some decent footage for the film of the trip. Hallelujah.
So yes, the film will likely be pedalo-heavy. I’m not sorry.
I managed to get loads of videos and photos while successfully avoiding dropping my phone in the canal. Plus, I now actually have proof of doing a fun activity. Successful day.
As for tonight, we’re setting off on a pub crawl through the Red Light District at 8, so fingers crossed the impending hangover doesn’t ruin any more touristy stuff that I try to do tomorrow.
