Chapter 56 — Right out of left-field.
But content is king.
My mate Gibb sniggered when I answered his question on what today’s Chapter is about.
Chipotle? CHIPOTLE? What’s next: Chapter 57 — McDonalds?
Yes, Chipotle. That American fast food restaurant everyone knows and loves.
Well, it’s not loved all that much, considering the chain has poisoned its customers on numerous occasions all over the USA in the past year. But, hey, they do say that all publicity is good publicity.
Anyway, I’m not here today to launch in to a big long Chapter on how Chipotle needs to get its act together, because I’m actually here to do the opposite.
I haven’t discussed much content other than my own in these posts, but great content is something I massively appreciate. It isn’t easy to create, and (generally) takes tons of planning and effort. It deserves to be appreciated.
Which is the reason I’m writing about Chipotle today.
This Chapter has the potential to be the most totally-out-of-left-field of the bunch, but stay with me. This is a fantastic video that I’m about to present.
See, Chipotle needed to release something that would seriously improve brand sentiment (how people talk about the company, especially online). They needed some content that didn’t feel like an advertisement. Content that had depth, and an emotional narrative.
So they created A Love Story.
And I’m seriously impressed, which is why I’m writing a Chapter all about it. I’m not an animation guy — I doubt I’ll ever get involved with anything of that style in my filmmaking future — but if I can create anything as enjoyable, I’d be pretty happy.
See you all tomorrow.
Everything Else…
I’ll be honest, this isn’t the high-quality, meaningful content I want these Chapters to be. New week tomorrow, time to pull my writing socks up.
Thanks for watching and reading!
Ross complained about the lack of a gif of the day the last few days. Sorry Ross.
