The Nothing Day.

I’m sitting down very late to write this one. 11:20pm to be exact.

It’s not through any fault of my own; I just can’t morally avoid the tradition of heading out with new workmates on the Friday of the first week. It’s standard etiquette.

And, I’ll be honest, there’s not a lot to shout about or comment on today. I have nothing prepared, and it’s too late to prepare anything meaningful. I’m just not yet in that planning-ahead frame of mind. This is a nothing day.

Tomorrow though, I’ll be one step closer to my dream of preparing Chapters way, way in advance.

For tomorrow is moving-in day.

Tomorrow is the day I have my own room, and my own space, and my own squared-feet area to do with as I please.

Living at Jen’s has been great, but sharing a room meant for one person limits how much you can spread out. Jen gets frustrated that all of her room isn’t her own, and I get frustrated that I can’t put my stuff anywhere but the small patch of carpet I’ve claimed as my own.

This flat has arrived at the perfect time, and I’m unbelievably excited to move in.

Great first week on the job, followed by a weekend of moving in to a new flat.

Exciting times guys, exciting times.

Catch you all tomorrow.
