The Sunday Summary #1
07.08.2016

Writing every day is great. Getting a Chapter out can be a roadblock on certain days, but once the momentum is there it’s easier to keep going than to come to a disappointing halt.
But while I’m dedicated to daily writing, I’m completely aware of the fact most of you reading these posts don’t do so each and every day. I know it from my own experience following daily writers here on Medium; sometimes you just read whenever you have the opportunity.
To address this, I’m starting the Sunday Statement, a weekly post that recaps my previous seven days of Chapter-ing. This way, you can get a quick snapshot of my week, and delve in to any posts you might’ve missed.
I’m not intending for the Sunday Statement to be a standalone Sunday Chapter every week — sometimes I’ll post it alongside a standard blog— but for today it is. Enjoy!
Monday marked the first day at my new job at NCC Group. I loved it, thanks for asking, and the week overall was great.
Day one at NCC was a success. Everyone there is super friendly, the office is big but welcoming, and fresh fruit is…medium.com
Tuesday was TED Talk night at Rise on Deansgate. This Chapter is really worth a read (and watch) if you missed it, especially if you’re a TED Talk kind of person. If you’re not, sort yourself out.
I use Meetup a lot. So much, in fact, that I’m confused as to why I haven’t written a Chapter on the thing yet. But…medium.com
Wednesday followed on from Tuesday’s Chapter, and I made it a bit more personal. If you want to know some facts about me that you probably didn’t know, read this.
Thursday went all self-improvementy. I collect a lot of quotes, so I thought it was about time I started sharing them. Chapter 81 contained five quotes that I believe have genuinely made me a better person, and might have the same effect on you.
Friday was busy. So busy in fact that I published my Chapter about 30 minutes before midnight. The Nothing Day was another example to myself as to why I should plan Chapters in advance. Sorry.
Saturday was fantastic. The day of reward for all of the hard work over the past year and a bit. Yesterday was, as you can tell by the title, the day I moved in to a new flat with one of my best friends. No more taking up space at Jen’s house, no more living out of a suitcase. No, no, no. As of yesterday, I have my own (rented) flat. Happy days.
9/10 week.
