When you need a break, do you

And tell everyone else to hold the advice.

There are times when you’re overloaded, but feel obliged to keep going.

There are times when you pile on the pressure, but believe it’s necessary to accept more.

There are times when it all gets a bit too much, but you assure yourself that everything is fine.

Stop.

Talk to yourself. Reflect on your situation. Sit in silence. Think.

Sometimes – although not every time – it’s absolutely vital that you give yourself some breathing space and put your mind back on track.

That may be a night with friends or a weekend with family. It may be week with your partner or a month on your own.

However long you need, take it. No one knows you better than you do.

There are people who will attempt to shape you through their view of the world. Stop them. Remind them that their life isn’t yours, that everyone is different.

Only you know when you need a day, a week or a month.

However long you need, take it.

No one else matters. Do you.
