Some fairy-tales are known to undergo major transformations that can impact a characters life. In Grimm’s classic story “The Frog Prince” you see a princess who made a deal with a talking frog, and is forced to sleep, feed and let the frog live with her. By the end of the third day, the princess wakes and sees a handsome prince in her bed instead of a frog. The prince told her that he had been enchanted by a spiteful fairy and the only way to undo the curse was to sleep in the princess's bed and eat from her plate. In this short story, you are able to see a major transformation from a frog, into a full-blown prince.

The transformation that was seen in “The Frog Prince” is also shown in the Disney movie, “The Princess and the Frog”. Similar to the book, Tiana finds the talking frog, however, she is also turned into once kissing the frog. Since she was not a princess, she was unable to break the curse. Through trials and tribulations, the two are finally able to transform back into their human bodies and live happily ever after. Princess Tiana and Prince Naveen both faced major trials and tribulations that caused both characters to have their lives impacted severely.

In Marvel’s “The Incredible Hulk”, Bruce Banner is able to transform into the Hulk once angered. Although he is no prince and has no connections to royal blood, he is a scientist who had a freak accident that left him able to become a huge green creature. In order for Bruce to transform, he must exemplify signs of anger, stress, or being harmed by someone. Unlike the transformations in the other stories, Bruce has, somewhat, full control over when he transforms. He is also able to be in his form for numerous hours at a time without worrying about disappearing or staying in the same form forever.
