When Apple released the Apple Watch in April, the highly anticipated wearable quickly proved to be popular amongst Apple fans. In fact, it has been so popular that Apple has been unable to stock it in-store; the only way to get one was to have pre-ordered.

6 cool Apple Watch accessories

But if you were lucky enough to get an Apple Watch, then you’ll want to know how to get the most out of it. After all, you probably use it most of the day. So, to help with that, we’ve put together this list of cool Apple Watch accessories that will make your life easier or keep your device safe and stylish.

1. The Bumper

This Apple Watch accessory falls squarely into the ‘protection’ category. One of the prime ways to use the Apple Watch is by taking it outdoors on jogs or workouts, but what if you drop it as you go? What if it slips off of your wrist and onto some rocks? Much less than that, what if you drop it on a hard floor when you’re just walking inside your house?

The Apple Watch is not invincible and any of these scenarios could result in a a cracked screen, a dented body or a broken device. Which is why The Bumper is advertising itself as a shock-absorber that should help keep you device safe from these things.

2. Defense Edge

Defense Edge

The Defense Edge Apple Watch case also keeps the edges of your Apple Watch protected from knocks and bashes. The selling point of this case, however, is that it looks impressively stylish and you’ll barely notice the difference between the Apple Watch with or without a case.

There are two versions of the Defense Edge — a silver version and a bronze one — so if you buy two you will even be able to accessorise accordingly.

3. Casetisfy

Casetify, on the other hand, won’t help keep your Apple Watch protected, nor will it make it look fancy. But will at least give you something to smile about.

Casetify are case experts, who make cases based on your photo uploads. You could upload a photo or you can link your Instagram account and they’ll turn it into a case for you. With the Apple Watch, they’ll make you a new band of that photo so that every time you check the time, you’ll be greeted with your custom band.

4. Reserve Strap

Reserve Strap

If you’d rather have something more practical then funny, then the Reserve Strap might be a better option.

As the name suggests, this Apple Watch gadget offers you a reserve power solution when your battery starts running low. According to its makers, the “Reserve Strap seamlessly extends the battery life of your 38MM or 42MM Apple Watch using the Watch’s built in 6 pin accessory port”. They also say that it “increases the battery life your Apple Watch by up to 125% and charges the Watch even faster than the included Apple inductive charger”.

5. Pod for Apple Watch

If the Reserve Strap just isn’t cutting it for you in the backup battery department, try the Pod for Apple Watch.

The Pod for Apple Watch has its own, rechargeable battery, which contains four charges of your Apple Watch. To use it, you just use the Pod like it’s a charging station, putting your Apple Watch on top so that it can charge while you can do something else. It’s ideal for those who are going to be away from a power outlet for several days, but still need to use their Apple Watch.

6. CyClip

CyClip

Last but not least is something less technological but very practical. Especially for those who love to travel on two-wheelers.

CyClip is a handlebar adapter for the Apple Watch. You can attach it to the handlebar of your bike or motorcycle and clip the watch into it. Thanks to that you will be able to e.g. use the navigation withouth letting go of the bar. Safety first! It’s still a kickstarter campaign but it’s a great solution for a simple problem.
