Supporting Each Other During COVID-19
ELSA’s mission from Day 1 has always been about helping students improve their English speaking skills. Whether it’s passing an exam, landing a job, or making new friends around the world, ELSA is built to help you realize your goals. During these uncertain times, we maintain our unwavering commitment to supporting students.
At ELSA, we know that international college students are being particularly affected by the coronavirus pandemic. Campus closures may have uprooted you from your college community, and the current climate is creating uncertainty around your future internship and career plans. ELSA’s founder, Vu Van, started the company following her personal experience as an international student pursuing higher education in the US. This is a community we care deeply about.
Starting today, we’re launching the ELSA Student Ambassador program for all college students. Through this program, we hope that you can:
1) Stay engaged — Free ELSA PRO Accounts
Are you worried about keeping up your English? Wondering how to keep learning and growing during campus closures as you prepare for upcoming interviews or presentations? We are offering all college students free ELSA pro accounts through June 30, 2020. Request free ELSA pro access here.
2) Build skills & Give back — become an ELSA Student Ambassador
Looking for ways to support the international student community while building your own skills? Help us spread the word about this campaign to your classmates and friends by becoming an official ELSA Student Ambassador.
By becoming an ELSA Student Ambassador, you will gain access to the following opportunities:
- Build career-relevant skills: Build your skills in management and marketing by generating awareness about this initiative in your community. We’ll work with you to provide materials and brainstorm ideas for reaching out to students. We hope to support as many of you as possible.
- Give Back: Support fellow students by spreading access to ELSA Pro.
- Virtual Mentorship Program: For our most committed and high-performing ambassadors, ELSA will offer virtual mentorship and career coaching sessions with leading professionals (with experience at Stanford Business School, Google, top consulting firms, etc.).
- Global Internship Opportunities: Love being a Student Ambassador? Our best Student Ambassadors will be eligible to apply for internships with ELSA at one of our global offices in Silicon Valley, Vietnam, Portugal, India, and Indonesia. Experience first-hand what it is like to work for a fast-growing, global ed-tech start-up!
