We are excited to announce the official release of the Elusiv SDK (in public beta) on Solana. As the first fully open-source, privacy-centric SDK on Solana mainnet, it will give developers access to various privacy features that can be easily integrated into new and existing applications. Since privacy is a prerequisite for mass adoption, this will bring the entire community closer to realizing this goal.

Making privacy normal

Privacy remains one of the biggest challenges in Web3. It is an arduous topic in the social and political spheres. Moreover, it’s a complex problem to solve technologically, as it requires the knowledge and application of advanced cryptographic techniques. Elusiv aims to tackle the privacy challenge, considering the implications present in each realm. With the release of the Elusiv SDK, privacy is now programmable. Developers can access various privacy features without reasoning through complex cryptography (both on Solana mainnet and devnet). This will accelerate the adoption of privacy-preserving technology and make it more commonplace in wallets, payment solutions, DeFi protocols, and more. The Elusiv SDK roadmap

As we open-source the first version of the SDK, it also represents the beginning of an exciting development journey. This first version will enable developers to integrate private sending functions. This is ideal for wallets and payment solutions that handle simple on-chain transactions. Senders of a transaction would benefit from complete privacy, effectively encrypting the origin of the payment.

Subsequent SDK releases will be updated in parallel with the Elusiv WebApp. As more features are launched in our native application, the SDK will expand in functionality.

Learn, build, and earn!

Our goal is to see privacy become a fundamental capability of Solana. That is why we are launching numerous initiatives to help activate the Solana developer community. From workshops to hackathons, bounties, and more, we hope to see privacy integrated into as many applications as possible, catapulting the entire ecosystem closer to mass adoption. Check out the first initiatives going live soon, or visit our new developers page for more information.

Encode Solana Bootcamp and Hackathon

We will partner with Encode to sponsor its upcoming boot camp and hackathon from May 22 — July 13. $1K in prizes will be available for builders to learn and develop using the Elusiv SDK. The 12-week program offers the complete package for getting started by providing learning opportunities and application guidance.

Superteam Vietnam Workshop

To all Solana builders in Vietnam! We are excited to be teaming up with Superteam Vietnam for an exclusive workshop on May 29 focused on the Elusiv SDK. With over $1K in prizes, it is the ideal place to get familiar with our SDK with guidance from our co-founders! Follow @SupterteamVN on Twitter for all the info.

Superteam Bounty

We are excited to offer our second Superteam bounty. This bounty will reward the best functional integrations of the Elusiv SDK with a prize pool of $1500. Several development directions exist to explore, like private wallets, on-chain payment solutions and more. [Visit the bounty page for all the detail.

Elusiv monthly community calls and resources

Going forward, we will host monthly community calls with integrated workshops. These gatherings will give updates on Elusiv activities while providing support and guidance for SDK developers. The calls are also great opportunities to get in touch with the team! Join our Discord to stay updated for the first official Elusiv community call starting in June.

To get a head start, check out the docs on our website and dive into some of the technical specifications of the Elusiv architecture.

Privacy x Solana: A match made for mass adoption

Implementing privacy on Solana will catalyze its fundamental value proposition. Privacy drastically increases the chain's usability by lowering the entry barrier for more prominent institutional entities that would otherwise not utilize it simply because their transaction history would be transparent. In addition, applications can be constructed with privacy in mind from their conception, making user experiences more fluid.

Thus, the Elusiv SDK is a critical milestone for Elusiv, the entire Solana ecosystem, and beyond. We wrote an in-depth thread explaining why we chose to build on Solana. Optimized for mass adoption, programmable privacy is one of the missing pieces to this vision.
