盤點 1999 年後英搖時代

自從1997年Blur同名專輯受到美式低傳真（Lo-Fi）影響後（Pavement正是關鍵樂隊），Brit Pop 便開始走下坡，而有了「後英搖時期」的誕生

包括以下樂隊：The Verve、Mansun、Travis、The Supernaturals、Stereophonics、Coldplay、Doves、Keane、Snow Patrol、Super Furry Animals、Catatonia、Elbow、Embrace、Starsailor、British Sea Power、Delays等等等

加上如Radiohead已逐漸往電子方向走去（如其專輯《Kid A》），承接火炬的樂隊與炒作的話題漸稀，Brit Pop 終究如它所反動之Grunge，步入歷史。

1999年，可說是「Post-Britpop 後英搖時代」真正開始發酵的時候。

這年 The Verve 解散；Blur 發表受美式低傳真影響的《13》；Travis 推出超級經典《The Man Who》；同時 Coldplay、Doves 都發行了出道前的 EP！

Suede走向電氣化的《Head Music》，The Lightning Seeds 也有更加電子取向的《Tilt》，而 The Charlatans 則改往鄉村風情前進⋯⋯

此外還有：石玫瑰 Ian Brown、Stereophonics、Super Furry Animals、James、Catatonia、Supergrass、Kula Shaker、Echo & the Bunnymen、Ocean Colour Scene、Gay Dad、Gene、Shack、The Beta Band、Departure Lounge⋯⋯等老將新秀都於同年發表專輯。
