Hello, Gatestriders! Did you know we’ve released more demo builds in the past 2 months than we have the past year? Since our last blog update we’ve released multiple builds with beautiful updated graphics, bug fixes, and most importantly the ability to exit your Omniframe as the male or female pilot featuring our new and improved Gen-3 character models! You owe it to yourself to check out the latest backer downloads on my.em8er.com and experience the freedom of exploring in pilot mode and getting into your Omniframe whenever you wish to jet, glide and fight. It adds a layer of believability to the game that pushes forward our goal of having a tangible, physicalized world that feels super immersive. The sense of scale standing next to your mech makes you really wonder just how big the heavy omniframe is and how massive the Kaiju will be!
Speaking of the heavy omniframe, you’ll be able to judge the scale for yourself soon! The whitebox phase of the heavy frame is done, modeled by Heinesnow, who recently officially joined the development team! The whitebox phase consists of simplified geometry, without details, to focus on overall form and practical tests for poses and animations. Later, highly detailed 3D models will replace the whitebox version in both production and the game.
With the heavy and light omniframe blockouts complete, only the new medium blockout remains to be finished. The light frame and the heavy will now proceed to high poly modeling.

We’ve come a very long way from our original goal of just one frame in a single player demo of a THMPR encounter. Thanks to you, our backers and subscribers, we now have 100 person multiplayer running on true, dedicated servers, pilots and characters able to exit their MEKs and explore on their own, and light and heavy omniframes on the way!
