“I wish everyone to listen to their heart”- Baheamica

(Checking the ID) Gera…28 years old…from Russia…

Yep. That’s correct for my body on Earth. But my soul is in the constant trip through the universe.

How long you are cooking that juicy sounds of yours and orchestrate waveforms?

I write music from the age of 14. Started as a drummer in a cover band. Soon I realized that we need own music and I began to create it in Guitar Pro. At one day the band broke up, but luckily my friend showed me Ableton.

Since then I started to experiment with various music instruments (guitars, flute, tambourine, etc.) and electroniс music.

I’m fascinated to explore how a sound impacts a human mind. For example, when I was creating an ambient, I noticed that an absence of a clearly expressed structure is what makes you feel like time is slowed down. Experimenting with a noise I really got into it — it has a rebel nature and the drive to expand music borders, while it’s a sound that requires a maximum concentration to enjoy it. I think music not only affects a person’s mood but also forms a perception.

Right now, I get inspiration from the future garage, techno, jazz, hip-hop, rock, etc. and express it in an experimental stylistic with an emotional accent.

We broke Google trying to translate what Baheamica is. Give us a hand.

Baheamica it’s like “bhumika” — in Hindi it means “actor”. This is my tribute to eastern wisdom. I meditate a lot. It allows me to follow the music from my heart.

Keep the sound loud!

Max Level.

Some of your tracks transmit this meditativeness and eastern themes. Like you want the audience also to listen to your heart, joining your astral concert. And we are happy you chose Emanate as your ticket seller to it. Tell us your experience of working with the platform.

You guys are amazing! I feel the support. For me Emanate — is a way to change your mentality. Artists here are connected directly with the audience and both parties can feel the love of each other. Play your favourite music and experience you are rewarding your fav artist directly in real-time. That’s how it always should be.

Also, it is cool that Emanate develops a lot of tools and features like Distro around the platform, evolving in multiple directions. From my point of view, it is related to a high-quality sound on the platform, as artists, who are passionate about music, appreciate it. If you do something with love — the Cosmos will response.

And this is just an alpha. Looking forward to surfing a meta.

We know you already got your hands on self-uploads and royalties setup for instant payouts to features on the track ANCH. What’s your impressions.

Oh, it is a super cool feature for artists. Now, when I will need to pay a bill at the bar, I will make a good post in social media.

Tell us a bit about your creative process. We need a sneak peek of how your “inner kitchen” works.

Chief doesn’t tell his secrets ;) But I can leave a door a bit opened. I’m primarily focused on the sense of the composition — something that is expressed raw in the first sketch. Everything else — is a wrap. But getting the sound to the target point is where most of the time is spent.

Additionally, about the “inner kitchen”: I see that things are happening around me influence the mood of my music.

Your latest release ANCH differs from most of your previous works by the dark vibe. Tell us about it.

When I heard first time the Acid woman’s voice, I fell in love with it. I wanted to make a collab right away. This track is an expression of a heart-sinking emotion from meeting an inspiration.

You are on the Emanate’s TOP right now, while you don’t have a mass coverage in a social media. Do you think Emanate is a good place to start?

I don’t want to highlight myself from other artists. I discover new interesting music every day on Emanate. OR can be put like this — Emanate opens new artists for me.

I do believe Emanate is a good place to start. From my point of view, motivation is one of the hardest things to manage for aspiring artists. Giving your energy for music is not easy. You walk through various psychological states on the way. But here the air is so light, it’s electrifying!

The fact that the team gives for aspiring artists the opportunity to get on board first, so they could get more attention, deserves respect.

You made a collab with Audioalias recently. Did you guys found each other on Emanate?

Yeah. I was listening to Emanate’s catalogue and his music drag my attention. We contacted on Instagram. Audi offered a plan of work on the collab, and we started to make this tune. Would love to create more stuff together someday. Maybe with a 3rd artist on the line.

I love that strong creative community, which is forming around Emanate and opened for collaborations. Also, looking forward to trying out Daisie and Vampr.

How did you found out about Emanate?

My friend and manager Andrey Bezryadin brought me here. And I’m lovin` every minute!

Future seems so bright!

Music of what artists is playing in your “soul kitchen”?

I love the sounding of many artists, while in my music I’m trying to keep going my own way. But London party makers— are extraordinary. Music of Burial, Sorrow, Vacant and others is just something from another world!

What is music for you?

Everything. It is my main motivation in life. For me, music is an instrument to get access to your feelings, emotions — and they are life itself. I need to be in a musical state of mind at least a part of the day.

What‘s’ your next move?

Chief keeps cooking ;) I’m working on many projects at the same time, continue experiments. Looking forward to collaborating with more interesting artists from Emanate.
