Gear Reviews From the Community: June
We asked the Emanate community to review some music products they’re loving, here’s what they recommend for you to check out!
Fab filter/Soothe 2
‘I absolutely love Fab filter and Soothe 2 plugins. They help keep everything crisp and clear, as well as give your sound or vocals a boost’ says Thunderwolf
Voicemeter Banana/Light Host
‘Voicemeter banana and light host are the ultimate combo. They allow me to sound like a grown man since I can use vst plugins with my microphone input.’ says Bubblemint
Rift
‘Rift by Minimal Audio is a new distortion that is a neat alternative to trash 2 by izotope. They have created an excellent distortion option for those who want to try something different other than trash 2. What I like most is you can route the feedback or filters inside of the LFO inside itself to create some neat sounds. It is a super versatile plugin that you can use it from giving drums some grit to creating some unique growls all inside of itself.’ says Ragdolltk
Serum
Serum is one of the synths that I learnt synthesis with. It's intuitive and the visual interface makes it easy for everyone to use and explore, and it pretty much is my go-to for a lot of stuff. More often than not, when I’m doing sound design, I will just open it without even thinking. I love its versatility and sound design capabilities, as I’ve made everything from bass sounds to kick drums using this plugin. I normally use it for melodic elements like plucks, basslines or lead melodies, but as I said before… the sky (and also your CPU performance) is pretty much the limit with Serum.’ says Xtasik
