Breaking onto the scene with debut singles ‘Introspect’ and ‘Kuruna’, the twenty three year old, Sydney-based producer hasn’t shown signs of slowing down. With a string of acclaimed singles, the multi platinum producer has also been behind the scenes plying his skills to a slew of other artists, both in Australia and abroad. With the likes of Ruel, Sycco, JP The Wavy, MaxFrost, Denzel Curry, and most recently his work on MUNGMUNG’s EP.

With his eyes set firmly on the future, Taka is pushing his innovations even further as he joins us in the Web3 space for the first time on emanate and with USA-based NFT marketplace Mint Songs. Choosing the environmentally friendly Polygon network, Taka is putting his music on the blockchain for the first time. From March 31st, fans can claim a free NFT poster as an introduction to the technology, and one of fifty music NFTs via Mint Songs.

Although he’s clearly had a hand in everything lately, he’s now managed to find the time and technology to mess with time itself on his new track ‘DON’T’. Somehow ‘DON’T’ is both a fast-paced and slow-tempo’ed all at the same time–the angular, futuristic sonic footprint will make you appreciate the science behind Take Perry’s production and marvel at the young producers ability to push his production into spaces you’ve never heard before.

Equally feeling at home in a dark sweaty club or on your couch with the lights off and headphones on. With a 3D animated visualiser, created solely by Taka himself, DON’T is the first single taken from Taka’s upcoming debut EP, KAKOMIRAI and is the perfect scene setter for whats to come from the upcoming project.

“I was experimenting with an Oberheim SEM plugin one studio night and decided I wanted to glitch it out in a way I’d never attempted before. I threw everything I could at it and that became the first sound you hear in the song. I couldn’t even tell you how to recreate it. I just wanted to make something unashamedly explosive, hard-hitting and futuristic.”

We’re very excited to welcome such an exciting artist of Taka’s calibre to emanate as he begins his journey into the world of Web3.
