Major emanate Announcement
Hello,
We come to you today with a difficult but important announcement. After a remarkable journey spanning six years, we must share that the time has come for Emanate to close.
NOTES:
- Closure was extended by 2 weeks until November 14th, 2023
- EMT bridging extended by a final 2 weeks to March 12, 2024
Important information
- Emanate.live and its associated mobile apps are now offline (since November 2023)
- BCM Audio Pty Ltd will retain user data and artist catalogs to support any potential paths forward in future
- You can opt out of all data and catalogue retention if you like
- Users who subscribe to Music Lover or Pro-Connect tiers via stripe will have their unused funds returned — details on this process will be provided soon
- Artists who currently use Emanate/OneRPM distribution will have continued distribution service — details on this process will be provided soon
- The EMT token will no longer be supported, but to increase the chance of future use, we will manually migrate all EOS EMT holders onto Ethereum or Polygon. Users who wish to have their EMT token holdings considered in relation to any future token launches, swaps, snapshots or airdrops will need to opt-in via this Off-boarding Form and complete the process by March 12th 2024 (extended)
Looking back on the Emanate journey
These six years have been filled with innovation, creativity, and the incredible support of the community. From championing independent artists globally to pioneering an instant payment engine and becoming the first platform to integrate music NFTs, our accomplishments as a community have been many. We remember the thrill of our metaverse parties, even the one that was so big it crashed the Voxels server — moments that showcased the strength of Emanate.
Sadly, keeping the platform operational, particularly during these challenging times, has proven unsustainable. Emanate has been a space where artists found their voice, and the community thrived on sharing music and insights. The impact you’ve collectively made has been awesome.
A possible future
A future for our Blockchain Music endeavours potentially lies ahead with the right backing and support of our partners, core team and shareholders. We have plans for an upcoming platform called ‘Drop’ which will have a more refined focus on modern electronic, pop, rap, and DJ-friendly music. The platform will launch, but it needs substantial further funding before the future is clear.
So, though we say farewell, it doesn’t need to be a permanent goodbye. User accounts and artist catalogues that fit with any future platforms may be migrated, unless the owner of the account opts-out as part of the Off-boarding form.

EMT Tokens
As we embark on this new journey, we want to address the EMT token holders, as without emanate.live, the EMT token currently has no utility or value. Team-owned liquidity has been removed and funds will be used to navigate the path ahead.
We are giving EMT holders on EOS chain an opportunity to bridge to Ethereum and we are giving all holders a chance to opt-in to participate in future projects if and when any new token issuance arrives.
The off-boarding form and token opt-in needs to be complete by march 12th, 2024 (Extended).
