Ex Sony Executive, Gavin Parry, Joins Emanate
Gavin Parry is the ex Vice-President of Digital and Business Development for Sony Music Entertainment APAC and the 3rd music industry heavyweight to join Emanate in 2020.
Gavin’s experience with Sony over the last 20 years means he has seen the change before, and now he has the insight into what’s happening next with rights trading and investment. Gavin can see clearly that blockchain is playing a huge role.
The Emanate team pitched Gavin a new Emanate-based concept currently in stealth mode. It focusses on TikTok and other similar social media platforms, leveraging the influence of the world’s new social media stars. This is what tipped Gavin over the edge to join the team.

Emanate Distro — Collect global digital streaming revenue
Distribution services today, are mostly the middlemen between the artist, labels and streaming services. In the past, they actually sent physical records, CDs and cassettes out to the records stores. Today the role still exists for digital file and data sharing, quality control, payments and reporting.
It means artists who upload music on Emanate, will also (optionally) push audio and data to all of the below services, with all revenue flowing back into the Emanate ecosystem.

Emanate welcomes Chris Lake to the family
Active since the early 2000s, British producer/DJ Chris Lake has built up a massive discography of original productions and remixes, ranging from progressive house and tech-house to vocal-driven groovers. He’s scored several charting hits, collaborated and with heavyweights such as Deadmau5, Fisher, Steve Aoki, and remixed pop stars such as Sia, Kylie Minogue, and Lady Gaga. He’s also responsible for the Black Book music label, which is releasing some of the hottest house music records right now.
