It’s been a hot minute since we shared our favorite plugins with you, but that’s because we’ve been so busy testing out some new ones! We are pleased to report that we’ve got some more great freebies for you to play around with to help your bangers really bang!

We tried and tested the good, the bad and the completely useless to bring you our three favorite plugins. And that’s right, they’re all completely free.

1. AmpleBass P Lite II

So you want that realistic, beefy low end bass sound huh? But you can’t afford the time or money it would take to purchase and then actually learn how to use it? Well don’t worry because the lovely folks at Ample Sound made a bass plugin that is so close to the real thing, even Flea wouldn’t be able to tell the difference. It’s modelled after Fender’s legendary Precision Bass and includes detailed articulations and techniques like vibrato, hammer on & pull offs, accents and more!

2. TAL Reverb 4

Apply the right amount of this little reverb plugin to some of your tracks and it could just be the difference between sounding like an amateur or a pro. The TAL Reverb 4 is one of our favorite free plugins, emulating that vintage 80s sound that everyone is so into at the moment. It works great on just about everything, so have some fun slapping it on everything in your session and playing around.

7. Helm by Matt Tytel

Out of all the free software synths out there (and there’s a lot of them), you can’t go past Helm. It’s simple to use, offers great control and comes packed with features. Whether you’re a manipulator of sound who loves crafting unique noises or you’re more of a presets player, Helm is going to be a lot of fun. Add this one to your arsenal right now!

Is there a VST or plugin you’re really loving? Let us know!
