By the end of the nineties, Drum & Bass was one of the UK’s biggest music scenes. Today, it’s fully embedded in the mainstream as one of the UK’s most successful exports, after the Beatles, Fish & Chips and cups of tea.

Below are just some of the best Drum and Bass tracks of all time — if we had picked all of them, we’d be here all year.

So please enjoy this list of (some of) the best Drum and Bass tracks of all time.

1. Origin Unknown — Valley Of The Shadows

It’s raw, gritty, and it is an absolute classic. Released back in ’93 — ‘Valley of the Shadows’ is Drum and Bass at its purest.

2. DJ Zinc — Pranksters

This one is a DnB and Jungle classic! The drop on this track might take a little while to hit, but it is well worth the wait.

3. Renegade — Terrorist

Featuring Ray Keith’s ‘Terrorist’ sample of Japan’s ‘Nightporter’, this track is breakbeat at its finest.

4. DJ Krust — Warhead

DJ Krust released the bass-heavy ‘Warhead’ back in 2006 on V. Recordings and it has since become a DnB classic.

5. Moving Fusion — Turbulence

Moving Fusion’s ‘Turbulence’ is A RAM Records classic — one that goes hard.

6. Pendulum — Slam

Taken from their 2005 album ‘Hold Your Colour’, Pendulum created a timeless Drum and Bass anthem with ‘Slam’. And a pretty memorable video clip as a well.

7. High Contrast — Racing Green

The perfect Drum and Bass track to ride around to, whether you’re on a big wheel, in the car or on a skateboard — as long as its got wheels.

8. Sub Focus — Rock It

One of the biggest Drum and Bass songs in recent memory, Sub Focus’ ‘Rock It’ is now an absolute classic, and the world is a better place for it.

9. Adele — Hometown Glory (High Contrast Remix)

It was High Contrast’s remix of Adele Hometown Glory that put Drum and Bass back into the mainstream consciousness in 2008. The song was a huge, swirling sonic feast that not only complimented the massively popular original, but bettered it.

10. Shy FX — Shake Ur Body

It was almost impossible to pick just one Shy FX track, but we felt that ‘Shake Your Body’ sums up exactly what Drum and Bass is all about — the fun. This tune is instantly recognisable and completely unforgettable.

11. Sigma — Nobody To Love

Sigma’s ‘Nobody To Love’ was part of the soundtrack to 2014. The track, which sampled Kanye West’s ‘Bound 2’, was an enormous hit. More than that, it was a big, in your face statement that Drum and Bass is a key player in mainstream music.

And there you have it!
