Batman needs help too.

At Ember, we’re building an esports lifestyle brand centered around health and wellness. Authentic brands start from within. All of our players and coaching staff have packed training schedules and it is easy to play one more game (guilty…) or eat a quick but unhealthy meal. This is a critical role that supports the health and wellness of our players by keeping them properly fueled and coordinating their movement across dozens of events (media training here, yoga session there, and much more).

What is the Majordomo role?

Think Alfred from Batman. Alfred is a highly intelligent and resourceful man that runs the day-to-day operations of Wayne Manor. Alfred’s tasks range from cooking and cleaning to counseling and delivering first aid. While we don’t need you to deliver first aid, we are looking for Batman’s batman.

The majordomo will keep the common areas of the household in pristine order and enforce hygiene standards for the players’ rooms.

You will work closely with our personal trainer and yoga instructor to coordinate workout sessions and track our progress. You will also participate in all of our workout sessions. It’d be great if you could complete the following: one-mile run, 40-yard dash, one minute AMRAP of pushups, squats, burpees, and squats.

You are welcome to live in the team house in Santa Monica, but you don’t have to.

What kind of people are hired for this role?

We need the essentials: culinary skills paired with a knowledge of food science, nutrition, and diet. You should have an interest in physical fitness and it’d be great if you were a neat freak.

We need people who are team players. While you are not directly competing in the games, you are as much a part of our victories (or losses) as any member of our team.

Perhaps it goes without saying but you must be an esports fan and more specifically, a level 30 League of Legends player.

Finally, you don’t work for our players — you work with them. You must be able to command as much respect as Alfred gets from Batman. It’s important enough to make this explicit.
