Ethereum has finally introduced ERC-4337, which introduces the first steps needed for account abstraction. Put in simple terms, this abstracts & removes the complexity of the Blockchain. It gives you ways to “program” how you store your assets, the security that you have over them, and implement different ways that make their usage easier across a variety of use cases.

We don’t need more wallets, we need an alternative to wallets altogether. Account abstraction represents a complete paradigm shift that redefines the idea of what a wallet is and what wallets can be used for. The acceptance of ERC-4337 by the Ethereum Foundation gives validation to our aim of opening the gates for the masses with Ember.

Now, companies, institutions, brands, games, and real people can all leverage Ember as their gateway layer to asset storage and utilization across different chains, access different earning protocols, NFT collections, marketplaces, aggregators, exchanges and more. By doing this, Ember seeks to become the real central point of adoption for the next billion users.

Ember abstracting away the complexity of the blockchain

So, what is Ember?

Ember is your next generation Super App for crypto, reinventing the way that you use Web3. We’ve taken all of the different features that are currently spread across different applications and merged them into one cohesive experience that lets you do so much more with your assets. Put simply, it’s everything you’ll ever need for your crypto journey inside the easiest to use app.

The problem with Web3 now

The current way of doing things in Web3 requires you to use a wallet like Metamask or Trust Wallet to store your funds, use exchanges like Uniswap or Pancakeswap to swap assets, then visit marketplaces like Opensea and MagicEden to trade NFTs, and access different niche staking protocols to earn from your funds — you get the idea. All of these applications are great at what they do — but what they do is limited, especially when it comes to ease of use and user experience.

To achieve real adoption of crypto, we need to implement real change. You should be able to tap into crypto without having to worry about managing seed phrases that are easy to lose and hard to recover, using scary wallet addresses to send and receive funds, or understanding how to navigate through a sea of different dApps which all come with their own steep learning curves.

Crypto needs an application that’s built for real people — a way for you to login to, store, use, and earn from your crypto and NFTs easily. We’re building exactly that by taking the elements of account abstraction and different features spread across Web3, and combining them with a beautiful app design and the smoothest user experience you’ve seen in the space. It’s a game changer.

Ember’s features

Implementing account abstraction within Ember means we’ve been able to design a way for you to take full control of your assets. You’ll be able to easily recover your account and funds if you lose access to your account, set automated payments, spending and withdrawal limits, turn your phone into a cold wallet — the scope of what you can do is really endless and it provides true flexibility over how you store and use your crypto.

On top of that, we’ve taken all of the different fragmented applications that currently exist within crypto, put them into an easy to use experience — and then built more functionality on top of them.

If we asked you to imagine the perfect app for crypto, what would you think of?

Would you think of:

  • Being able to easily log in with your social media accounts like gmail, twitter, discord, a password, your mobile phone number, and secure biometrics like face ID
  • Having full custody of your tokens and NFTs, and staking them with one click to earn passive income
  • Sending and receiving funds with easy usernames, as well as swapping your crypto easily, and having the ability to buy and sell crypto with cash
  • New functionality for NFTs, with an NFT marketplace and aggregator that allows for more than just buying and selling NFTs, but also NFT payment plans, passive income from zero collateral NFT rentals + more
  • Being able to play new games, use every Web3 application, discover trending tokens and hot NFTs, and track all of them in real time in one place
  • A beautiful UI that anyone can navigate, transaction previews that are easy to understand, and user experience that’s grandma-friendly & built for real people
  • A referral model that sees users rewarded properly and fees reinjected back into the economy, with continued development and features that grow with the needs of the people that use it

If your imagination is anything like ours, you’ve just dreamed of Ember — and we’re making those dreams a reality.

Ember is launching at the end of April 2023 on the Google Store and the Apple App Store (providing Apple plays nicely) as a Mobile App that supports Ethereum, Polygon, and BNB Chain, with support for more EVM & non-EVM chains and additional features like reduced gas fees rolling out over the successive months.

This is a new age of crypto. Download Ember and experience a new reality, where all of the power is in your hands.
