3 attitudes of a bad scrum master

Scrum Master is an essential character for a team to go on with scrum. He or she should have a good knowledge on scrum as well as good attitudes to become a good scrum master. Below are some points that will refrain you becoming a good Scrum Master.

Are you a commander?

If you are a commander then you cannot survive as a scrum master. Scrum master should be a kind of servant leader who’s helping with the team and driving the team to achieve targets. Commanding doesn’t work with scrum as in scrum there are no managers who lead the team and also you need to build up a good relationship with other teammates

Are you a complainer?

If you are not trying to do things with the available facilities and complaining every single fault, then again you cannot survive as a scrum master. Scrum masters always have to guide the team to deliver the agreed tasks on time. There can be lots of technical barriers or knowledge gaps, but it’s his responsibility to minimize those in order to deliver a quality product. So there’s no room for complains at all.

Are you a poor guardian?

Scrum master’s main role is to protect his team from outside influences. If you are not good at it, don’t think of surviving as a scrum master. You have to have the tactical skills to keep your teams apart from the outside effects.
