The Importance of the Banal and Boring

6:00 a.m.

You wake up. Scroll on your phone for 30 minutes. Take a shower, get dressed and rush to eat breakfast so you can make it to your job for 9:00 a.m.

This is still the life routine that most people are living. Some people have the ability to work remote, but in my circle, that’s still not an option.

You get to work where you deal with the trifling nonsense of others for 8 hours a day, then you pack your stuff up for the day and head home.

Life is mundane. How should we deal with the banality of it all? Does the repetitive nature of modern society make it meaningless? All of the things we do are futile in the face of death. So should we bother doing anything at all? Is a life like this even worth living?

Let’s talk about it.

Realizing Finitude

It all starts with the realization of our finitude. When we realize we are finite, we start to question the structures around us. We start to question how we should be acting because we only have a limited time living this life.
