Philosophy- Totally Useless?

Au contraire!

What is Philosophy, what is it good for, and why should you even care?

Like a lot of liberal arts these days, studying philosophy seems totally pointless. Just the word itself evokes images of two old guys arguing in a garden somewhere.

And it seems like a lot of these arguments are impossible to prove. So what’s the point?
