The flashing neon lights, the exciting slot machine sound effects, and the adrenaline rush of a big bet were once reserved for lucky travelers to Vegas, Atlantic City, or other casino destinations. But thanks to a rise in mobile gambling apps, today’s poker players and roulette spinners can access the thrill of the casino at the touch of a button.

And mobile consumers are coming in droves, with 70% of all online gambling transactions now made via mobile. Revenue for the social casino market reached $5.2 billion in revenue in 2018, and the industry is expected to grow 18.84% by 2021. This growth has largely been driven by convenience, social features, free play, and mobile-exclusive rewards and bonuses that aren’t offered in physical casinos.

Despite there being hundreds of casino app options across Google Play and the App Store, brands who focus on these strategies will continue to dominate. Below, discover four of the leading mobile casino brands and find out how their games keep customers spinning and winning on a regular basis.

Product Madness

Across their seven leading casino apps, over the past 30 days, Product Madness counts 1.16 million daily active users (DAU), nearly 5 million monthly active users (MAU), and over $9.98 million in revenue. Their most popular games, Slots: Heart of Vegas and Cashman Casino have impressive engagement, seeing nearly 423K DAU and 1.42 million MAU and 285K and 1.17 MAU, respectively. Their engagement centers heavily on bonuses: in addition to regularly adding new free games to the platform, Heart of Vegas offers free bonus coins every day as well as daily wheel and hourly free slots bonuses that keep players on the edge of their seats. On the Cashman Casino app, “the more you spin, the more you win,” with free slots bonuses increasing each time a player spins. The app also offers mega bonuses on a daily, hourly, and 15-minute basis.

Playtika

Social gaming pioneer Playtika has 11 popular apps in their portfolio, totaling 3.35 million DAU, a whopping 11 million MAU, and nearly $17 million in revenue during the month of July. Their industry-leading slots app, Slotomania Slots Casino, has racked up 751K downloads and sees nearly 1 million DAU (984K). Slotomania has garnered such high engagement rates thanks to features like bonuses and rewards. New players are incentivized with free coins and existing players can access hourly bonuses and coin boosters if they continue to play. Users can also join the free Sloto Club, which offers VIP slots rewards like cash back, linked jackpots, and access to exclusive slot machines. There’s also a social element to foster engagement; when players team up with each other in a “SlotoClan,” they increase their chance of winning prizes — each SlotoClan member’s win earns rewards for their fellow members.

Zynga

Many consumers know about Zynga thanks to their wildly-popular games like Words With Friends and FarmVille, but the company also developed Zynga Poker, the world’s most popular mobile poker game. Zynga Poker counts nearly 1 million downloads, 1.36 million DAU, 4.44 million MAU, and over $3 million in revenue this month. The app incorporates social competition to keep players engaged, offering the chance to join leagues, compete against other players for a spot on the weekly leaderboard, or even play in “Sit-N-Go” tournaments for a chance to win more chips (and bragging rights). Zynga Poker drives downloads by offering users 60,000 free chips when they download. This incentivizing continues to engage users via features like weekly jackpots and a VIP Program, which includes access to exclusive benefits, chip package offerings, and special game modes.

Huuuge Global

Social gaming brand Huuuge Global has built an impressive portfolio of 22 apps. Their top-performing game, Huuuge Casino Slots, has earned $4 million in revenue, with over 1 million DAU and 3.77 million MAU over a thrity day period. The app includes over 100 slot games, as well as poker, Baccarat, and roulette, with different bonuses and jackpots offered in each game. Push notification giveaways, 15-minute bonuses, and shopping rewards encourage players to stay engaged with the app. Users can also team up with one another in Clubs; once part of a Club, they can compete for spots in the Masters or Billionaire Leagues, which offer bigger and better prizes.
