Juno Is Now Available on Emeris Beta
Great news! Juno has become the latest IBC-enabled chain to be integrated with Emeris Beta. As more and more chains in the Cosmos ecosystem begin to enable IBC, we now have a total of 19 interconnected chains, sending more than 1.4 million IBC transactions in the last 30 days. Juno is a sovereign public blockchain in the Cosmos ecosystem that aims to provide an environment for the deployment of interoperable smart contracts. The network serves as a decentralized, permissionless, and censorship-resistant avenue for developers to efficiently and securely launch smart contracts using proven frameworks and compile them in various languages, such as Rust and Go.
All contracts built on the platform can be automatically interconnected with other networks within the Cosmos ecosystem, thanks to the integration of IBC (Inter Blockchain Communication Protocol).
It functions as its own independent blockchain within Cosmos and provides developers with a robust and effective way to deploy smart contracts through its multiple frameworks and supported coding languages — its permissionless, immutable, and decentralized features make these functions possible.
These smart contracts can be built and coded in Rust or Golang languages through leveraging the CosmWasm Smart Contract Framework. Its network is also highly efficient and scalable, boasting up to 10,000 transactions per second (TPS) and offering extremely low costs to develop smart contracts.
$JUNO is the network’s native asset, carrying a variety of use cases within the ecosystem, including securing the proof of stake network, acting as the key to on-chain governance, serving as the transport fuel for all interoperable smart contracts deployed in the ecosystem, collateral in various smart contract use cases, and capturing value from dapps built on top of the chain. Agreements on the Juno network are achieved through Tendermint BFT consensus.
