Since its beta launch in August 2021, Emeris has given users a flavor of its supreme cross-chain functionality by allowing for token transfers, swaps, and participation in liquidity pools across various Cosmos chains.

Now, we’re excited to announce that another IBC-enabled chain has been integrated into Emeris: Starname (IOV).

Starname (IOV)

Starname is a decentralized digital identity platform built on Cosmos SDK that allows users to create and assume custom immutable blockchain profiles. Using the Starname web app, individuals can create their own profile and link it to their blockchain addresses or crypto wallets. Profiles can also be integrated with dApps and digital asset exchanges.

With their new blockchain username, individuals can send and receive funds, hold or trade tokens, and easily login to blockchain dApps — all anonymously and cross-chain. Personalized usernames also eliminate the need for facilitating activities and transactions through various wallet addresses, as all assets and information are stored under the user profile.

Supported wallets and applications currently include Cosmos, Cosmostation, Ledger, Request, Wallet Connect, and Savitar. The platform operates with Delegated Proof-of-Stake (DPoS), where the native $IOV token is used for staking (by validators) and purchasing starnames.

With Starname, users have full control over their online crypto identity and can engage across the blockchain world in their own personalized approach.

Tying the Knot with Emeris

The integration of Starname signifies the next leg up for Emeris, as it continues to evolve its ecosystem of supported Cosmos chains. Through the Emeris dashboard, users will now have seamless and easy access to IOV tokens, driving further engagement, usability, and application.
