Journalism in the United States today is so important to society. It is a job that takes a lot of work and also has a very meaningful purpose.

Journalism is the best way to reach many people and inform the people of the things happening in their country around them. If it were not for journalism, so many things would be unknown.

I believe being a journalist is one of the most important jobs in the US. Journalists have to be brave and persistent. They also need to know their limits and all of the rights they have as journalists so that they can do their job without anyone stopping them.

As a journalist, it is important to know the rights that you have. When investigating something, there will be so many times that people will try to shut you down and not give you answers, but if you know your rights and know what you have access to, it will get you the answers you want.

There are movies that show how important journalism can be for society and show how much work and effort actually goes into writing news stories.

“Spotlight” and “All the President’s Men” are both movies the tell the story of real-life journalists reporting on real-life events that happened in the US. If it were not for the determination of these journalists to get the truth out for the people, the citizens of the US would not know about the events that went on.

The movie “Spotlight” is specifically about Catholic priests taking advantage of their positions and sexually abusing young children. Because of their position in society, they covered up the harm they had done. If it were not for the journalists that worked on the story, the information would have never gone public and it would have continued to happen to so many people.

A story like that shows the importance of journalism just because something harmful was happening and being kept a secret. It was very important that the story was made public so that people were aware of what was happening, and they could put a stop to it.

When doing the investigating for the story, it was discovered that there were so many priests doing these harmful things, so many people that had been assaulted and so many people that knew about it that were helping in the cover-up. There is no telling how many more kids could have been affected if the story was not printed.

Some of the people that have positions in power choose to take advantage of their position. They think that because of their title, they can do whatever they want and cover it up.

Journalists need to make sure that they find the truth and report the facts to inform the public of what is going on in the country. Otherwise, people in power can do harm without consequences.

The people of the US should be thankful for what journalists do because in reality, it is all for them.
