Activate your organization?

Servant leadership and adaptive leadership are two extraordinary styles of leadership which support, celebrate and idealize the unfolding of human potential in organizations. This is the human potential of every single individual. The leader who can serve, follow and adapt to customers and employees as much as lead them has been shown to achieve higher success with his or her organization.

What does this success look like? Higher levels of customer service and product innovation, and higher levels of employee engagement and performance.

Sounds good, but we have a hold up. We humans with all of our untapped yet tap-able human potentials are, well, er, only human. Our best practice efforts to serve and adapt are repeatedly blocked by our over-thinking, under-thinking, over-feeling, under-feeling, over-acting, and under-acting. Choose your poison!

The problem is that we can’t reliably and routinely (1) prioritize, (2) accelerate, and (3) command (control is, in principle, not an option) serving and adapting. This pertains whether we are striving as individuals, as teams, as organizations (internally), or as institutions (externally).

The bellwether solutions to these hold ups, which are provided by Emotion Mining Technologies (EMT), leverage patented, algorithmic, automated, versatile, scalable, interactive, independent-use software technology that is cloud and web-based. These solutions enable serving and adapting to happen more reliably and routinely.

(1) Prioritize — EMT algorithms clarify conscious emotional responses to topic questions posed as ‘How does SOMETHING or DOING SOMETHING make you feel?’ and, most importantly, highlight subconscious emotional responses. At the individual, team, organization or institution (population) level, what people consciously think and say is repeatedly shown not to be what they subconsciously feel and seek. Avoiding the ambient yet irrelevant clutter, noise, bias, mood and temperament of customers and employees, the servant-adaptive leader can now focus on addressing the deep-seated passions and unfulfilled aspirations people, which are prioritized for him or her.

(2) Accelerate — EMT automated topline reports of findings, implications and recommendations provide the following subconscious metrics to enable leaders to discover and monitor generally where and how to accelerate serving and adapting. These metrics include: Engagement metrics (Enjoyment, Interest, Commitment, Passion); Mindset metrics (Outlook, Energy, Inclination, Preoccupation); and Word Cloud metrics (Keywords, Concepts). Knowing and benchmarking these metrics can save leaders and their organizations mental energy, time and money as they strive to serve and adapt internally and externally.

(3) Command — EMT interactive tools are designed to empower all individuals in the organization. In terms of self-expression, a ‘level playing field’ is established giving everyone an equal voice, anonymous or not. However, EMT interactive tools have the grace to give leaders a ‘heads up’ on study results collected, so they can remain at all times responsibly in command of the official organizational response to the organization’s dynamic subconscious realities and movements. With this ‘heads up’, the subsequent serving and adapting, led by the leaders, can be deeper, truer and on point.

To sum up, the ideals of servant leadership and adaptive leadership can be more realized with Emotion Mining Technologies (EMT). Operational excellence can be reflected in ‘deeper yet higher’ levels of culture, diversity, alignment, productivity, creativity, and innovation.
