As someone who admittedly deals with certain mood-related issues (i.e., anger management), I have been an avid coloring advocate for quite some time.

I know to many adults, this may sound immature or juvenile, but taking on coloring as a hobby has literally been life changing.

This is why I randomly take the time to promote it to others and encourage them to join in on the fun!

Coloring and Mindfulness

In case you’re yet unaware, mindfulness is defined as follows,

mind·ful·ness

/ˈmīn(d)f(ə)lnəs/

noun

the quality or state of being conscious or aware of something. — “their mindfulness of the wider cinematic tradition”

2. a mental state achieved by focusing one’s awareness on the present moment, while calmly acknowledging and accepting one’s feelings, thoughts, and bodily sensations, used as a therapeutic technique.

In other words, mindfulness is a term used to describe the capacity to focus exclusively on the present moment.

It may not sound like much, but such things actually work wonders for those experiencing anxiety, depression, or even rage.
